Welcome to know more about me !
Hello everyone, my name is Jiahui Hai, a girl from China and my major is Communication at Clark University.
Actually I arrived the US in January, 2020 to learn English program at ELS language school in Boston, so I have been to here for more than half a year. The photo above is me and it was taken during a hangout with my friends in Back Bay. I enjoy traveling a lot. I remember that when I arrived Boston, I made a plan to travel around the nearby cities. However, Covid-19 broke out, so I had to give up my plan and kept social distance with others.
Luckily, I visited Museum of Fine Arts in Boston that I can share with you before pandemic.
It is still closed at present and will reopen on September 26, but I recommend you to visit after quarantine. There are many different collections during different period. You can search for the information about the collections on their website such as current collections, future collections and exhibitions. I would like to show several photos that I took in the MFA.
I really like to practice skateboard on weekend for fun, but I changed to be interested in baking and cooking during pandemic.
I graduated from my bachelor's degree in 2019 in Hangzhou which is a beautiful city in southern area of China. My major was International Economics and Trade when I was in undergraduate. The reasons why I chose Communication to be my graduate's major are because: 1. I'm deeply impressed by the tension and connection within the communications between people and collisions among cultures; 2. Communication with my bachelor's degree can be a great combination because it's important to show communication skills in the trades. 3. I also understand that all industries need communication skills, and the skills are not that easy like talk to others, share ideas with others, but the skills to achieve your targets. For example, advertisings, sales promotion and story telling etc.
Hi Jiahui!
ReplyDeleteI love how you have adapted your hobbies due to the pandemic! I have had such a hard time finding new things to do while in quarantine, and I am very impressed that you were able to get into baking and cooking rather than skateboarding! That is so impressive! I also really enjoy the reasons why you chose Communications to be your graduates master. I think you are completely right, connection and tension between people and collisions of cultures is so fascinating on so many levels - in my undergraduate I took multiple courses in anthropology and it is such an interesting field. What is your dream job in the future?
