Introduction
Amazon is an American multinational technology company based in Seattle, Washington, which focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos in Bellevue, Washington, on July 5, 1994. The company started as an online marketplace for books but expanded to sell electronics, software, video games, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry. In 2015, Amazon surpassed Walmart as the most valuable retailer in the United States by market capitalization. In 2017, Amazon acquired the Whole foods market for US$13.4 billion, which substantially increased its footprint as a physical retailer.
Amazon’s target audience
Amazon is a worldwide brand. Because of this, people from around the world can buy products which they need to on Amazon.com. In a Google Trends analysis on the term “Amazon” in the past year, we can see that the term is popular in North and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and parts of Asia.

Everybody knows Amazon’s technology is second to none. You can do it without groundbreaking technology, or any technology, just by paying close attention. From the graph, we can notice the followers are increasing faster at species day. Look at the Instagram followers are increasing about 2000 on 28 Sep, why it’s increasing that day? We can saw Amazon’s Instagram, it public the prime day advertisement will become in the future. And look at the carton picture, it attracts people's attention than normal pictures.

Looking at the graph from Google Trends, we can mainly spread in America. Comparing to Amazon, Walmart still has challenges. Walmart’s biggest weakness is the lack of e-commerce experience and expertise. Walmart is newer to the eCommerce space, while Amazon was built as an eCommerce-first retailer. Before Walmart acquired Jet.com in 2016, the company didn’t focus on eCommerce beyond the bare minimum. Social media is another powerful tool that Amazon employs to engage with shoppers and enhance the quality of its customer service.
